Hand-painted signs for Canoga Park businesses

Canoga Park's older storefronts on Sherman Way and its auto shops are classic sign-painter territory: painted wall signs, brush-lettered windows and service menus painted right where customers pull in.

A hand-painted sign has a warmth a printed one can't fake. It reads as a real local business with a real person behind it, and it can be sized and shaped to fit exactly the glass or wall you have.

FAQ

Sign Painter questions

What's the difference between hand-painted and vinyl lettering?

Hand-painted lettering is brushed on by hand with sign paint, and gold leaf is applied by hand too. Vinyl lettering is cut by machine from adhesive vinyl. Patrick does both and will tell you which fits your window, budget and look.

Can you paint on glass, wood and walls?

Yes. Patrick paints lettering on storefront glass, doors, wood signs and walls, and does gold-leaf lettering on glass.

Do you come out to Canoga Park?

Yes. Patrick works on site across the San Fernando Valley, including Canoga Park. He'll come look at the spot and give you a free quote.

Do I need a permit in Canoga Park?

Canoga Park is part of the City of Los Angeles, so permanent signs there generally go through the city's Department of Building and Safety (LADBS). Window paint and window lettering are usually simpler. Ask Patrick about your sign when you call, and check with the city or your landlord before a big install.

How do I get a quote?

Call or text Patrick at (818) 300-9590, or email photos of the spot to plotnikp@yahoo.com. Quotes are free.
